Help: 네임스페이스에는 퍼블릭 도메인 도움말 문서를 구축하고 있습니다. 이 문서들은 새로 설치하는 위키에서 가져올 수 있도록, 기본적인 미디어위키 사용법에 대한 내용을 다룹니다. 이 문서들은 가능한 한 여러 언어로 번역해야 합니다.

• 기본적인 문서 언어는 영어이고, 모든 중심 문서는 영어로 쓰여져야 합니다.
• 특정 문서를 다른 언어로 번역할 때에는 원래 영어 문서의 하위 문서로 두어야 합니다. 예를 들어, Help:Contents의 한국어 문서는 Help:Contents/ko이고, 'Help:도움말' 등의 제목으로 두면 안 됩니다.
• 하위 문서의 각 언어 코드는 아래에 있습니다.
• 하위 문서는 다른 언어 번역 문서를 위해서만 쓰여져야 합니다. 예를 들어 Table editing/example과 같은 제목은 사용할 수 없고, 대신 Table editing example, Example of table editing 등을 써야 합니다.
• 어떤 문서가 영어 문서는 없지만 다른 언어 문서가 존재할 때에는, 간단하게 영어 문서를 만들어 주세요.
• 모든 Help: 네임스페이스 문서에는 {{Languages}} 틀을 붙여야 합니다. 이 틀은 다른 언어 문서로의 연결 통로를 제공합니다.

This system will be compatible with the planned automated import/export of Help pages, but may need a bit of working around to export/import non-English pages in the interim.

The English version of our front page is located at MediaWiki. Translated versions are located at MediaWiki/code, where code is the language code (e.g. MediaWiki/fr). Please see Project:Main page templates for more details about creating or editing this content.

Importantly, the rules about language codes (see below) should be followed here as well.

대문을 제외한 다른 네임스페이스 문서에 대해서는 아직 명확한 규칙이 없습니다. 일단은 Help: 네임스페이스의 규칙을 따라서 작업해주세요. 단, 이후에 규칙이 정해지면 몇몇 문서를 이동하거나 삭제해야 할 수도 있습니다.

이에 대한 토론은 Project:Current issues(영어)에서 하고 있습니다.

주의: 영어 문서는 서브 페이지에 두지 않는다는 규칙은 다른 네임스페이스에 대해서는 적용되지 않습니다. 이 부분은 정해야 할 문제 중 하나입니다.

[edit] Language codes

Throughout MediaWiki.org you should use the language codes specified by the MediaWiki software when creating language-specific content (see Names.php for the full and up-to-date list).

Please also bear the following in mind:

• If the language code is not found in Names.php then we should not host help pages in that language.
• If you want to add a language that is not present, first get it added to the software (by making a request at Bugzilla) and only add pages here once the changes have been accepted.
• If MediaWiki uses the 'incorrect' code for a language then you should also (for consistency) use that incorrect code here. If you think a code is incorrect you should discuss it on Bugzilla, and if this results in it being changed we will move the pages to match.
• Note that some language codes in Names.php are now deprecated (e.g. zh-yue has been replaced with yue). In these cases only the most recent code should be used.
