Conference audience and mission[edit]

This conference aims to:

  • inform on where and how MediaWiki is used,

Conference venue[edit]

The conference venue Gasometer D is easily accessible by Vienna's extensive U-Bahn system, conveniently located next to Gasometer Station on subway line U3 (Orange Line). This line conveniently runs through the city centre (which is accessible via Stephansplatz Station), as well as Landstraße Station, where travellers usually would connect to Line U3 when coming from the Vienna International Airport. By car, you take the exit "St. Marx" from the highway A23 and follow the signs to "Gasometer City". Car parking is available for 7,5 EUR/day. You can find details here: http://www.wien.gv.at/english/history/archives/contact.html

Travel and local accommodations[edit]

Local accommodations[edit]

You are responsible for booking accomodation individually. We will soon provide some suggestions.

Airport[edit]

Vienna
Vienna Airport is reachable by the more expensive but fast CAT - City Airport Train or the slower but cheaper S-Bahn. Both arrive at the station "Landstraße" where you can take the U3 to Gasometer (towards Simmering).
Note that the train "Railjet" departs from Vienna Airport and usually has the next stop at Vienna central station. From there you have to take the U1 to the city center (Stephansplatz) and change into the U3 (towards Simmering) to go to Gasometer.
Bratislava
An alternative (reached by some low-cost airlines) is the Bratislava Airport. From there you can take the bus or train.

Public transport[edit]
